After Months of Pain, Family Finally Recovers Missing Community Leader's Remains From Forest In Imo
According to the Nigerian Army, Chief Anyadu was allegedly murdered by members of a criminal gang. The breakthrough came after one of the arrested suspects confessed during interrogation and led soldiers to a shallow grave hidden inside Umudike Forest.

The remains were exhumed in the presence of the late chief's family, local vigilantes, and community representatives. His family provided a coffin and an ambulance so he could be given a proper burial in line with their traditions.

The Commander of Operation UDO KA, Major General Oluremi Ayobami Fadairo, expressed condolences to the family and assured them that those responsible would face prosecution.

The Army says it remains committed to tracking down criminal gangs across the South-East and urged members of the public to continue providing credible information to support ongoing security operations.

πŸ’¬ Do you think stronger community intelligence is the key to ending violent crimes in affected areas?
