Atiku Abubakar Pays Condolence Visit To Rotimi Amaechi [SEE PHOTOS]

The Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday paid a formal condolence visit to his running mate, His Excellency Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, at his residence in Abuja.

The visit was to commiserate with the former Rivers State Governor over the recent passing of his beloved mother, late Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi.

Atiku, accompanied by a small entourage of close aides and associates, arrived at Amaechi’s residence in the afternoon. He expressed deep sympathies on behalf of himself, his family, and the entire ADC presidential campaign structure.

According to sources present at the meeting, Atiku described the late Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi as a virtuous woman who raised a son that has continued to serve the nation with distinction. He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and asked God to grant the Amaechi family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Rotimi Amaechi, visibly touched by the gesture, thanked his principal for the personal visit despite his tight schedule. He described Atiku’s action as a demonstration of true friendship and solidarity, especially at a time of personal grief.

The two leaders held a brief closed-door discussion, during which they were said to have reflected on the life and legacy of the deceased matriarch as well as the broader political situation in the country.

Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi passed away recently after a brief illness. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and other relatives. Funeral arrangements are being finalized by the family.
