Julius Agwu Reveals Loss Of Sexual Function After Brain Surgery
Nigerian comedian and actor Julius Agwu has revealed that he lost his sexual function following brain surgery he underwent in the United States in 2015.

Agwu made the disclosure during a recent episode of the Beer Parlour Talk Show, where he opened up about the lasting impact of his health ordeal on his body, career and personal life.

Responding to a question about whether his brain condition or the surgery had affected other parts of his body, including his sexual function, the comedian said, “After I do am, prick no dey work again now. He no dey work.”

Other guests on the programme subsequently discussed the possible connection between the brain and the nerves involved in bodily functions. However, the conversation did not establish a medical diagnosis or conclusively confirm that the surgery was responsible for Agwu’s reported condition.

Agwu underwent brain surgery in 2015 after doctors reportedly discovered three tumours in his brain, one of which was said to be about the size of a golf ball.

The comedian has previously spoken publicly about the health challenges he faced during that period and how his treatment affected his career and personal life.

Reflecting on his contribution to Nigerian comedy during the programme, Agwu said his distinctive blend of music and comedy was part of his creative identity.
“Music comedy na me form am o, that is to tell you how my brain dey work,” he said.

The actor later became emotional while recounting his career and discussing people he claimed abandoned him during his difficult period.

“God wey I dey serve, anybody wey get hand for wetin happens to me. I go dey look. My friends deserted me. They stopped talking to me, many of them. It is well,” he said.

Agwu remains one of Nigeria’s recognised comedians and actors, having built a career spanning stand-up comedy, music comedy and Nollywood.
