933 NYSC Members Complete Service In Anambra, Nine To Repeat Year
The Anambra State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Blessing Ojisua, has urged outgoing corps members to put the entrepreneurial and vocational skills acquired during the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme into productive use by creating sustainable means of livelihood
Addressing the corps members during the passing-out ceremony, Ojisua congratulated them on successfully completing the mandatory one-year national service and wished them safe journeys as they returned to begin a new phase of their lives.
She encouraged them to remain productive by engaging in meaningful ventures that would contribute to national development and advised them to join the NYSC Foundation to maintain their relationship with the scheme while supporting its objectives.
Ojisua disclosed that 933 corps members were awarded their Certificates of National Service, while nine corps members who absconded from service would repeat the entire service year in accordance with the NYSC bye-laws.
She also revealed that two corps members had their service extended for disciplinary reasons, while five corps members were retained by their employers in recognition of their outstanding performance during the service year.
