AbdulRazaq Donates 25 Hilux Vehicles To Kwara Police
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has donated 25 Toyota Hilux vehicles to the state police command to strengthen security operations and sustain efforts to combat crime.

The vehicles were presented at a ceremony in Ilorin on Monday, with the governor announcing plans to distribute about 100 vehicles to security agencies in phases.

AbdulRazaq commended the police and other security agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace in the state, saying the additional vehicles would support their operations.

“We have made serious progress in recent months. To sustain the work they have been doing, we have decided to provide mobility vehicles for the police force,” he said.

The governor added that other security agencies would benefit from subsequent batches of vehicles.

He also urged residents to support security agencies by providing credible information that could help prevent or tackle crime.

“Active intelligence gathering is the most important thing to nip things in the bud and make sure they don’t degenerate,” he said.

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, described the donation as another intervention by the state government to support police operations.

Ojo said the vehicles would help address mobility challenges, particularly in hard-to-reach areas, and improve the command’s operational capacity.

He also acknowledged the governor’s support through special-duty allowances for police officers and pledged that the vehicles would be put to proper use.
