Amusan Qualifies For Diamond League Final
Nigeria's world record holder Tobi Amusan has secured a place in the 2026 Wanda Diamond League Final after a string of impressive performances in the women's 100m hurdles this season.

The former world champion amassed 28 points across five Diamond League meetings, confirming her qualification for the season-ending event scheduled for September 4–5 in Brussels, Belgium.

Amusan is currently second in the Diamond League standings behind American hurdler Masai Russell, who tops the rankings with 32 points.

Both athletes still have opportunities to add to their totals in the remaining meetings in London, Lausanne, Silesia, and Zurich.

Russell holds the fastest time in the event this season with 12.14 seconds, while Amusan's best performance stands at 12.28 seconds, a time she has matched three times this year.

The Nigerian star will be aiming to reclaim the Diamond League title in Brussels after winning the trophy for three consecutive seasons from 2021 to 2023.

Amusan remains the world record holder in the women's 100m hurdles, having set the historic mark of 12.12 seconds during her gold medal-winning performance at the World Championships in Eugene.
