WAFCON 2026: Oshoala, Ajibade, Nnadozie Among First To Arrive At Super Falcons Camp
Nigeria's preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) gathered momentum on Monday as several key players arrived at the Super Falcons' training camp in Casablanca, Morocco.
Among the early arrivals are experienced stars Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade and first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
They were joined by defenders Glory Ogbonna, Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran and Shukurat Oladipo, midfielder Christy Ucheibe, and goalkeeper Fatima Oloko.
The Super Falcons officially opened camp on Monday, with head coach Justine Madugu beginning preparations for the continental championship.
Sixteen more players are expected to report to camp in the coming days as the technical crew builds towards a full-strength squad.
Following the initial phase of camping in Casablanca, the nine-time African champions will relocate to Rabat before the tournament kicks off. The 2026 WAFCON is scheduled to run from July 26 to August 16 in Morocco.
Nigeria will begin the defence of their continental crown against Malawi in their opening Group C fixture at Al Madina Stadium, Rabat, on July 28.
The Super Falcons will also face Zambia and Egypt in the group stage as they seek to retain the title.
