Barcelona Submit Official Bid For Karim Adeyemi
Barcelona have submitted an official bid to Borussia Dortmund for German winger Karim Adeyemi, according to transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and Gerard Romero.
Romano reported on Thursday that negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with Adeyemi having already agreed personal terms with Barcelona and making it clear to Dortmund that his preferred destination is Camp Nou.
According to Romano, the 24-year-old, whose current contract runs until June 2027, is not planning to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga club. Barcelona have now submitted their offer and are awaiting Dortmund's response.
The Catalan club's pursuit of Adeyemi comes shortly after completing the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, indicating that manager Hansi Flick is keen to further strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new season.
Despite missing Germany's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup due to injury, Adeyemi remains a regular for the national team.
He scored 10 goals and provided several assists for Borussia Dortmund last season, while continuing to earn recognition as one of Europe's quickest attackers.
Barcelona's interest in Adeyemi also comes amid growing uncertainty over the future of Raphinha.
Reports suggest the Brazilian is considering a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia following the end of his World Cup campaign, fuelling speculation that Adeyemi could be viewed as a potential replacement.
Borussia Dortmund have yet to publicly respond to Barcelona's offer.
