Ex-International Footballer Jailed As Drug Kingpin Bags 22 Years Over Cocaine Trafficking
A former international footballer, Segun George Hunkarin, has been sentenced to two years in prison for his role in a cocaine importation conspiracy.

In the same judgment, the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced fugitive drug kingpin Ntoruka Emmanuel Chinedu to 22 years imprisonment after convicting him on multiple counts related to the importation of cocaine into Nigeria.

The court ordered that both convicts serve their jail terms without the option of a fine, marking another significant victory in the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency's (NDLEA) ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking.

The convictions underscore the agency's resolve to dismantle drug trafficking networks and bring offenders to justice, regardless of their status or background.
