Falconets Fire Warning To Spain Ahead Of U-20 World Cup Opener
Nigeria’s Falconets are ready to launch their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup campaign with a statement victory against Spain, head coach Moses Aduku has declared.
The Falconets will face the reigning world champions in their Group F opener at Stadion Sosnowiec on Monday, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm local time (4pm Nigerian time).
Aduku acknowledged Spain’s quality but insisted his players are fully prepared for the challenge and determined to secure all three points.
“We are looking forward to the match against Spain with high expectations. We are ready and set to go,” Aduku told the Nigeria Football Federation’s official website.
“Spain is a good side, no doubt. However, we will approach the game like a Cup final because we want to win.
“The three points will put us in good stead in our group phase campaign.”
The Nigerian coach will be hoping his side can turn their confidence into action against a technically gifted Spanish team and make an early statement in Group F.
