Future Eagles Held To Third Straight Draw After 3-3 Thriller Against Gambia
Nigeria’s Future Eagles remain without a victory at the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival after surrendering another lead in a thrilling 3-3 draw against The Gambia in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The encounter at the Hovsan Competition Complex on Sunday evening marked Nigeria’s third consecutive draw in the tournament, following identical 3-3 and 2-2 results against South Sudan and Jordan, respectively.

Despite showing impressive attacking quality, the young Nigerians again struggled defensively in the eight-a-side competition, which features two 20-minute halves.

The result leaves the Future Eagles with three points from three matches, having scored eight goals and conceded the same number.

Nigeria will now look to convert their promising performances into victories when they face Cyprus at 8:30 a.m. on Monday before taking on Pakistan at 3:15 p.m. in their final two Group AD fixtures.

The group-stage results will determine the teams’ placements in different tiers for the second phase scheduled for October 28 and 29, with the tier finals set for October 30.
