"He Died on Top of Me" — Ex-DSS Officer Shares Shocking Account Of Abacha's Final Moments
A former Assistant Director of the DSS, Dennis Amachree, has claimed in his newly released book that Nigeria's former Head of State, Sani Abacha, died from a cardiac arrest during an intimate encounter at the Presidential Villa in Abuja in 1998.

According to Amachree, the woman who was with Abacha allegedly told investigators: "I did not kill him, he died on top of me."

The retired DSS operative said his account contradicts the long-standing conspiracy theories surrounding Abacha's death, including claims involving poisoned apples and foreign women. He insists the incident was the result of a coitus-induced cardiac arrest.

The claims are contained in his new book, DSS @40: My Journey Behind the Shield, and have sparked fresh debate over one of Nigeria's most controversial moments in history.
