Inter Milan Complete Free Transfer Signing Of England Defender John Stones
Serie A champions Inter Milan have completed the signing of England international John Stones on a free transfer after the experienced defender left Manchester City at the expiration of his contract.

The 32-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year contract with the Nerazzurri, bringing an end to a highly successful 10-year spell at Manchester City, where he established himself as one of the club's most decorated defenders.

During his time at the Etihad Stadium, Stones won numerous major honours, including six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League, while playing a key role in City's domestic and European success.

Before choosing Inter Milan, the England defender reportedly attracted interest from Chelsea and Italian giants Juventus. However, he opted to continue his career in Serie A, where he is expected to strengthen Inter's defence as the club begins the defence of its league title.

Inter Milan will kick off their Serie A campaign against newly promoted Monza on August 22, with Stones expected to be part of the squad.
The experienced defender, who has earned 93 international caps for England, also featured prominently during the Three Lions' run to the FIFA World Cup semi-finals this summer.

Stones joined Manchester City from Everton in 2016 and went on to make 295 appearances across all competitions, cementing his reputation as one of the Premier League's most accomplished defenders before embarking on a new challenge in Italy.
