Journalists Denied Access To Rescued Oriire Victims As Makinde Visits Military Hospital
Journalists were on Saturday denied access to the 2 Division Medical Centre, Military Hospital in Ibadan, where pupils, teachers and other victims rescued from the recent abduction in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State are receiving treatment.

Security personnel stationed at the hospital prevented members of the media from entering the facility as tight security measures remained in place.

Several government officials were also required to wait outside while military authorities conducted internal security procedures.

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde was later allowed into the hospital to meet with the rescued victims, making him the only government official seen entering the facility during the period.

Military authorities did not immediately provide a reason for restricting journalists' access.

Security remained visibly heightened around the hospital, with armed personnel closely monitoring movement in and out of the premises as the rescued victims continued to receive medical care.
