Pogba Parts Ways With Monaco After Injury-Hit Spell
Former France international Paul Pogba has thanked AS Monaco following the mutual termination of his contract with the Ligue 1 club, admitting that he played fewer games than he had hoped.

Pogba joined Monaco as a free agent last summer after serving a doping suspension. However, injuries and fitness problems restricted his involvement throughout his time at the club.

The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder made just six appearances in all competitions, including only one start, and accumulated 115 minutes on the pitch.

Monaco and Pogba agreed to end their contract a year ahead of schedule on August 19, bringing an early conclusion to his difficult spell in the Principality.

In a farewell message to the club and supporters, Pogba expressed appreciation for everyone who supported him during his time with Monaco.

β€œI would like to thank the President and the management, my teammates, all the staff members and every supporter who believed in me. Representing this club and the principality was an incredible experience.

β€œAS Monaco is an incredible club and although I did not play as many games as I had hoped, I will always be grateful for the opportunity to wear their colours. Daghe Munegu!”

Pogba, who previously enjoyed successful spells with Juventus and Manchester United, will now look for a new opportunity as he attempts to revive his career after a challenging period.
