REBUTTAL: Etsako East Council Debunk Falsehood Information
The attention of the Office of the Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, has been drawn to a fabricated and malicious publication alleging intimidation of residents and the purported arrest of one Mr. Yakubu.

It is a desperate concoction designed to mislead the public, create unnecessary panic, and tarnish the hard-earned reputation of a chairman whose administration has been widely acknowledged for promoting peace, security, and development across Etsako East.
For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Yakubu was never arrested. He is not in police custody and remains at home. The entire narrative of an arrest, alleged confession, and purported audio recording exists only in the imagination of the authors of the story. If those behind the publication are convinced of their claims, they should produce verifiable evidence instead of hiding behind anonymous sources and manufactured allegations.
It is unfortunate that certain individuals have made it a habit to weaponise falsehood and sensationalism in a desperate bid to stir tension in a Local Government Area that has continued to enjoy peaceful coexistence under the leadership of Rt.
