Aston Villa have opened negotiations to sign Japan goalkeeper Zion Suzuki from Parma after his proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed.
The 23-year-old’s potential arrival at Villa Park could have a major impact on the future of Emiliano Martinez, with Juventus reportedly encouraged by Villa’s interest in Suzuki and hopeful of signing the 33-year-old Argentina international.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been told they will need to offer more than £60 million if they want to sign Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray this summer.
Barcelona are also continuing their pursuit of Manchester City midfielder Rodri. The Catalan giants reportedly believe a third offer of €70 million (£59.8m) will be enough to convince City to sell the 30-year-old Spain international.
Manchester City, however, are simultaneously working on another major deal, with negotiations underway for Lille’s highly rated Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. Lille are demanding at least £85 million for the 18-year-old.
Newcastle United have revived their interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha. Aston Villa and Benfica are also monitoring the 31-year-old Portugal international.
Inter Milan are reportedly looking to raise funds for a move for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones by selling Brazilian winger Luis Henrique. Jones is valued at around €40 million (£34m).
Chelsea have placed a £60 million price tag on striker Nicolas Jackson, with Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid among the clubs interested in the Senegal international.
