Tinubu Dissolves Presidential Committee On Federal Govt Properties, Hands Oversight To AGF
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved the immediate dissolution of the Presidential Implementation Committee, PIC, on the Alienation of Federal Government Properties.

In a statement issued Thursday, Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said all matters relating to the Committee will now be coordinated by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi.

Established in 2000 under former President Olusegun Obasanjo to oversee the sale and lease of federal assets, the PIC was said to have extended beyond its mandate and generated multiple litigations nationwide.

The President directed that the dissolution take effect from November 5, 2025.

He also ordered the erstwhile Secretary of the Committee, B. S Dutsin-Ma, to cease acting on behalf of the PIC and the Federal Government.
