Tottenham Sign Man City’s Savinho For Reported £75m
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City for a reported initial fee of £75 million ($102 million), taking the club’s spending in the current transfer window beyond £300 million.

The 22-year-old struggled to establish himself as a regular first-team player during his two seasons at Manchester City, but Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is hoping the winger can provide pace, creativity and attacking threat.

Savinho expressed his excitement after completing the move, saying he was convinced to join Tottenham following discussions with De Zerbi.
“It’s taken a while, but I’m very happy to be here. It’s a wonderful opportunity at a brilliant club with one of the best managers in the world,” Savinho said in a Tottenham statement.

“As soon as I spoke to the head coach, I knew I had to come. He told me he wants to help me reach the highest level and I believe we can do that together, as a team.”
De Zerbi played a key role in Tottenham’s survival at the end of last season, helping the club avoid relegation to the Championship for the first time in 49 years.

However, Spurs endured a difficult start to the new Premier League campaign, suffering a 3-0 defeat to Brentford on the opening weekend.
Savinho becomes the latest high-profile addition to Tottenham’s squad following the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali and Jan Paul van Hecke. Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka have also joined the club on free transfers.

“Savio is a player who brings energy, imagination and quality in wide positions. He has the courage to attack defenders and the ability to change a game with his creativity,” De Zerbi said.
“We’re very pleased to have him with us, and I’m looking forward to working with him, helping him continue to grow and seeing him bring his personality to the team.”

Manchester City could reportedly receive a further £10 million in add-ons as part of the deal.
The two clubs could also conduct further business before the transfer window closes, with Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush reportedly set to move from Manchester City to Tottenham.

Savinho joined City from Troyes for £30 million in 2024 after impressing during a loan spell at Girona, another club within the City Football Group.
Despite his promising performances in Spain, the winger struggled to reproduce that form in England. He made 84 appearances for Manchester City, scoring seven goals during his two seasons at the club.
