Manchester United have emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign France and Roma midfielder Manu Kone, but the Red Devils face strong competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal for the 25-year-old's signature.

Arsenal are also stepping up their pursuit of Spain international Nico Williams, reviving their long-standing interest in the Athletic Club winger. The 23-year-old, who recently helped Spain win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is reportedly available through a release clause worth around £77 million.

Meanwhile, West Ham United have turned down a second bid from Roma for Dutch forward Crysencio Summerville. The Italian club are expected to submit an improved final offer after an initial proposal of 46 million euros (£39 million) failed to convince the Hammers.

Aston Villa are monitoring Summerville's situation as they prepare for the expected departure of England midfielder Morgan Rogers, who is reportedly close to completing a move to Chelsea.

In Spain, Barcelona
are set to hold talks with forward Ferran Torres to discuss his future. The 26-year-old, whose contract expires next year, has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain after scoring the winning goal in Spain's World Cup final victory over Argentina.

Elsewhere, Ipswich Town have reached an agreement with Fulham to sign Morocco defender Issa Diop in a deal worth around 10 million euros (£8.5 million).

Newcastle United
and Leeds United are both keeping tabs on Franculino Dju, with FC Midtjylland valuing the 22-year-old Guinea-Bissau striker at more than £21 million.

In Italy, AC Milan
have identified Genk's highly rated 18-year-old winger Konstantinos Karetsas as a priority transfer target. However, the Rossoneri may need to sell Portugal international Rafael Leao to finance a move for the teenager.
